In the 18th minute, Douglas de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Almir de Mendonça. Catone's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Catone's Almir de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Castro in the 20th minute of play. Almir de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Reis in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Floresta Club U18's Ruy da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almir de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The Catone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almir de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. Almir de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Eliézer Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliézer Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas de Souza in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almir de Mendonça saved Catone from getting behind. The Floresta Club U18 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
