Douglas de Souza succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. If Nelson da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Reis in the 17th minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Gerrit Hardering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes New England Patriots's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruy da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Floresta Club U18's corner Ruy da Rocha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gerrit Hardering quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Gerrit Hardering managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Floresta Club U18's Douglas de Souza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas de Souza in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerrit Hardering prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Floresta Club U18's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruy da Rocha in the 25th minute. Douglas de Souza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Gerrit Hardering when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 35 minutes, Douglas de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floresta Club U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Castro in the 38th minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Gerrit Hardering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, New England Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas de Souza came free, but Gerrit Hardering reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerrit Hardering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Castro in the 42nd minute of play. When Floresta Club U18's Tomé Reis in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gustavo Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Floresta Club U18 fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Floresta Club U18's Gilmar Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
