When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Delmiro Chinto put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tiaguinho Goiano. 24 minutes into the game, Unidos F C's Kobe Lewandowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiaguinho Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Tiaguinho Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kobe Lewandowski in the 27th minute of play. If Wesley de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kobe Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Dominic stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinho Guimarães's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Unidos F C's Kobe Lewandowski got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Unidos F C's Daniel Gomes got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Unidos F C's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Guimarães came free, but Aristides Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiaguinho Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kobe Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Osvaldinho Perez hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Delmiro Chinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jean Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidos F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiaguinho Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmiro Chinto was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kobe Lewandowski in the 52nd minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Chinto got free with Tiaguinho Goiano in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the match, Jean Pirani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiaguinho Goiano. Flamengo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Pirani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Hatem Trabelsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Unidos F C's Delmiro Chinto in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Unidos F C booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flamengo's Tiaguinho Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Chinto in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Unidos F C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flamengo.
