Spectators: 7430 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 130) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edinho Gaúcho took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Outer Banks's Edinho Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 4th minute Outer Banks were awarded a corner. Nestor Marinho went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Outer Banks's corner Nestor Marinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Raimundo Mesquita quite easily take care of the ball. Perivaldo Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Mesquita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Perivaldo Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Cruz got free with Raimundo Mesquita in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juarês Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Mattos's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Arariuna F.C's César Gerber got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Jairo Mattos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Outer Banks's Juarês Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Outer Banks's Juarês Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Mattos in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arariuna F.C's goalkeeper Raimundo Mesquita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Guimarães hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Arariuna F.C's César Gerber tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Cruz got free with Raimundo Mesquita in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Outer Banks getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Perivaldo Cruz hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Edinho Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Outer Banks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edinho Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Perivaldo Cruz in the 47th minute. Perivaldo Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Juarês Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Mattos in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinho Gaúcho in the 58th minute of play forced Arariuna F.C's goalkeeper Raimundo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Outer Banks booed when Arariuna F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edinho Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Raimundo Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arariuna F.C's Raimundo Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Cruz in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Outer Banks's zone, César Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Monteiro came out of the goal and César Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raimundo Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Cruz in the 67th minute of the match. Outer Banks's Juarês Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Mattos in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Arariuna F.C booed when Outer Banks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes Arariuna F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nestor Marinho who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Nestor Marinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raimundo Mesquita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 74 minutes into the game, Osvaldo do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arariuna F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Outer Banks the free kick. The supporters of Outer Banks booed when Arariuna F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Outer Banks's Juarês Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Outer Banks from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute of the match Arariuna F.C got a corner. Outer Banks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. César Gerber ran over to the corner to take the kick. Achilles Hemberg hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Arariuna F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinho Gaúcho in the 90th minute of play forced Arariuna F.C's goalkeeper Raimundo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 played minutes Arariuna F.C got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Garcia.
