Robbie Southgate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Arariuna F.C getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nestor Garcia hit a great ball. Jairo Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robbie Southgate. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Mattos ran back to his position shaking his head. Jairo Mattos struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Robbie Southgate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arariuna F.C. In the 41st minute 高坤源 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, 高坤源 took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Raimundo Mesquita to make any attempt to save it. Severo Dubardo's late challenge caught a Arariuna F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 高坤源 in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
