After a rather tough play, Boizão Club do Recife's Kiko Paes got a free kick in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Boizão Club do Recife's Ronaldo de Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 14 minutes, Zé Pedro Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boizão Club do Recife and the Anjos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Boizão Club do Recife getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Figueiredo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Anjos's Vânderson Almeida got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Figueiredo was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Boizão Club do Recife's Veniamin Shashkov got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robinho Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Boizão Club do Recife's Veniamin Shashkov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Figueiredo. Alex Figueiredo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. When Zé Pedro Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Boizão Club do Recife fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Florent Travers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Alex Figueiredo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Boizão Club do Recife's Veniamin Shashkov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alex Figueiredo. That made the score 0-6 after 61 minutes of play. After 64 played minutes Anjos got a freekick which was hit by Charles Araújo. In the 72nd minute, Zé Paulo Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute Zé Paulo Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Almeida hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Anjos's goal looked a bit too open when Veniamin Shashkov came free, but Alex Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes Anjos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Paulo Messias who took care of the corner kick. After 83 played minutes Boizão Club do Recife got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Caitano. After 85 played minutes Boizão Club do Recife got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Cardoso. In the 87th minute Robinho Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Messias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Figueiredo. Zé Paulo Messias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Alex Figueiredo was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Zé Pedro Cardoso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Pedro Cardoso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Boizão Club do Recife played a much better game than Anjos and deserved their victory. The Anjos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
