The supporters of Paulista F.C booed when CR Framengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Andrézinho Sergipano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nunez Rico was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Augusto Di Cola came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the CR Framengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Di Cola couldn't finish the play. Nunez Rico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto Dionísio in the 29th minute of the match. Nunez Rico came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Paulista F.C's Pedro Augusto Dionísio. But to his dismay, Pedro Augusto Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Telmo Loyola struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Nunez Rico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paulista F.C. Cesinha Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Dionísio in the 42nd minute of play forced CR Framengo's goalkeeper Nunez Rico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Loyola during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Telmo Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Pedro Augusto Dionísio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nunez Rico came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Augusto Dionísio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 91st minute.
