Ronaldinho Bruchon's late challenge caught a Sumaré Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldinho Bruchon helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sumaré Sport Club booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Bruchon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Chmelyk came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Faiko in the 11th minute of play. Norbert Balonek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Ronaldinho Bruchon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Goianésia E.C's zone, Sebastian Brun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Balonek came out of the goal and Sebastian Brun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Bruchon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Goianésia E.C got a freekick which was hit by Tomasz Poniewaz. In the 38thth minute of the game Mark Faiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sumaré Sport Club's Richard Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. César Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Richard Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Balonek was a little too slow when Alfred Chmelyk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfred Chmelyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Faiko got free with Richard Fontes in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Sumaré Sport Club booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Bruchon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Balonek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Brun in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Sumaré Sport Club were awarded a corner. Zé Trigo went to the cornerflag to take it. Norbert Balonek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Chmelyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Bruchon in the 69th minute of play forced Sumaré Sport Club's goalkeeper Richard Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Faiko in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Fontes saved Sumaré Sport Club from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Trigo came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Balonek came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Sumaré Sport Club's Alfred Chmelyk. But to his dismay, Alfred Chmelyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Sebastian Brun scored 3-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norbert Balonek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute Sebastian Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Balonek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Balonek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Trigo came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sumaré Sport Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
