Cris Batistuta had several of the RiverFolia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Oliver Bierhoff as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 39th minute Cris Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Bierhoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute Pousada 2 Pedros FC were awarded a corner. Gonzalo Tanio went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Alessandro Queirós at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of RiverFolia. 5-0. Luís Gustavo Cardoso hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro Queirós to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Cris Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pousada 2 Pedros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cris Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 52nd play minutes Alessandro Queirós shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Oliver Bierhoff and just under the crossbar into goal. If Jan-Ove Påk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 56 minutes, Cris Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cris Batistuta in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliver Bierhoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oliver Bierhoff was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. A collision led to Pousada 2 Pedros FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Furman Cuadrado hit a great ball. Oliver Bierhoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessandro Queirós went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute Alessandro Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Bierhoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match Pousada 2 Pedros FC got a corner. RiverFolia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonzalo Tanio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gonzalo Tanio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oliver Bierhoff quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alessandro Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Bierhoff having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Ronaldinho Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Bierhoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessandro Queirós's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Cris Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the RiverFolia defense, Alessandro Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Bierhoff. The RiverFolia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Bierhoff should have stopped the shot. Oliver Bierhoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Pousada 2 Pedros FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jan-Ove Påk hit a great ball. If Marcelinho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Alessandro Queirós sped through RiverFolia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oliver Bierhoff. The supporters of Pousada 2 Pedros FC booed when RiverFolia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
