The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Breguete FC were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Pousada 2 Pedros FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eugênio de Carvalho took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bruno Alves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tadej Pogačar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tadej Pogačar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Bruno Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cris Batistuta came free, but Jailson Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Queirós got free with Jailson Soares in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goalkeeper Jailson Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Queirós. In the 19th minute, Eugênio de Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadej Pogačar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cris Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Virgílio Sá got a free kick in the 25th minute. Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio de Carvalho in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Radu Bulă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Pousada 2 Pedros FC defense, Eugênio de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadej Pogačar. The Pousada 2 Pedros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadej Pogačar should have stopped the shot. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pousada 2 Pedros FC's goalkeeper Tadej Pogačar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavinho Mello to strike the kick off in the second half. Tadej Pogačar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Mello in the 58th minute of play. Allan Barral hit a great ball. Jailson Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Pousada 2 Pedros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Mello came free, but Tadej Pogačar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Cris Batistuta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pousada 2 Pedros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Tadej Pogačar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Bulă in the 81st minute of play. Cris Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jailson Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cris Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Tadej Pogačar got control of the ball when Eugênio de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgílio Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Eugênio de Carvalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadej Pogačar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Breguete FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
