After a defensive mix-up in Santo Amaro AC's zone, Antoni Karanewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Arósio came out of the goal and Antoni Karanewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute Cipriano Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Antoni Karanewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. J.J CALDAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Antoni Karanewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hudson Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antoni Karanewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wincent Pawlik scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeferson Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to J.J CALDAS getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jacq Lieckens hit a great ball. Jeferson Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincent Pawlik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antoni Karanewski struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Hudson Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for J.J CALDAS. Jeferson Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Polozov, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jeferson Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincent Pawlik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by J.J CALDAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wincent Pawlik was slow to take the kick. During this time Santo Amaro AC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Wincent Pawlik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeferson Silva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to J.J CALDAS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jacq Lieckens hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, Santo Amaro AC's Cipriano Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeferson Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Nilton Quintal in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hudson Arósio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Hermes made a kick off. Jeferson Silva was a little too slow when Cipriano Hermes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-5. Gildas Gasse hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Hudson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Karanewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute of the match J.J CALDAS got a corner. Santo Amaro AC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. J.J CALDAS's Pedro Luiz Ceresso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hudson Arósio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Polozov in the 65th minute of play forced J.J CALDAS's goalkeeper Jeferson Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeferson Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Polozov in the 69th minute of play. Jeferson Silva made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cipriano Hermes sent off a good shot on target.
