The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santo Amaro AC's Carlos Alberto Batista suffered a sore knee after 2 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Moura during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 5 minutes into the match, Os Fura Olho F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Hermes came free, but Ricardo Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Os Fura Olho F.C. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sílvio Moura hit a great ball. If Wincent Pawlik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílton Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílton Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Amílton Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Os Fura Olho F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Amílton Vergílio hit a great ball. Cipriano Hermes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Furtado. Ricardo Furtado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the game, Cipriano Hermes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ricardo Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 21 minutes into the game, Santo Amaro AC's Eduard Polozov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 24th minute Eduard Polozov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Os Fura Olho F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Michel Cardoso. In the 26th minute, Wincent Pawlik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Furtado came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Santo Amaro AC's Eduard Polozov. But to his dismay, Eduard Polozov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of Santo Amaro AC booed when Os Fura Olho F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Hermes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Ricardo Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wincent Pawlik went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Ricardo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Polozov in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Wincent Pawlik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Hermes went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Abreu was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Cipriano Hermes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. When Santo Amaro AC's Wincent Pawlik in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Os Fura Olho F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. When Elder Pires came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Os Fura Olho F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Pires couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincent Pawlik in the 61st minute of the match. Cipriano Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ricardo Furtado made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Ricardo Furtado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 66th minute of the match, Cipriano Hermes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricardo Furtado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 67th minute Dorian de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Furtado made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Eduard Polozov sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Carlos Eduardo Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Amaro AC made a substitution. Leonel Arósio replaced Wincent Pawlik. After 70 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Marquez. When Amílton Vergílio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Amílton Vergílio got a free kick in the 75th minute. Ricardo Furtado was a little too slow when Leonel Arósio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-8. A sloppy throw-in by Dorian de Lara in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Cláudio Abreu. In the 81st minute, Santo Amaro AC's Eduard Polozov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Furtado. Ricardo Furtado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. 84 minutes into the game, Eduard Polozov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Ricardo Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Leonel Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo Amaro AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Hermes went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score.
