Waldemar de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the game, Radamel Aguero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. The Meriti FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldemar de Senna should have stopped the shot. Radamel Aguero struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Waldemar de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flores da Cunha - RS. In the 32nd minute, Lucas Duardo made a precise shot to the right of Waldemar de Senna. Meriti FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Radamel Aguero scored 0-10 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franklin Moreira's late challenge caught a Flores da Cunha - RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. Franklin Moreira hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Lucas Duardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-10 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 56 minutes of play, Flores da Cunha - RS's Radamel Aguero made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lucas Duardo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldemar de Senna. That made the score 0-13 in the 64 minute of play. In the 70th minute, Lucas Duardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meriti FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Lucas Duardo scored to the left of an out of position Waldemar de Senna, making the score, 0-14. 77 minutes into the game, Flores da Cunha - RS's Radamel Aguero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldemar de Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-15. After a defensive mix-up in Meriti FC's zone, Radamel Aguero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar de Senna came out of the goal and Radamel Aguero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Lucas Duardo took a quick shot and it went in 0-17 without a chance for Waldemar de Senna to make any attempt to save it. Waldemar de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel Aguero in the 95th minute of the match. Flores da Cunha - RS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
