After 9 played minutes Gatinhos Comunistas got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Furlan. Genílson Vinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Figueiredo in the 11th minute of the match. Gatinhos Comunistas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Leopoldo Figueiredo scored to the left of an out of position Genílson Vinhas, making the score, 2-0. A very nice done corner allowed Valério Gomes to score against Genílson Vinhas in Gatinhos Comunistas's goal. 3-0 after 18 minutes. Leopoldo Figueiredos short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Genílson Vinhas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 24 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Vinhas. Gatinhos Comunistas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Genílson Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Lourenco, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Leopoldo Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. With his leg Genílson Vinhas managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Walt Disney's Lucas Gabrielli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 40th match minute, Gatinhos Comunistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Terra to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Figueiredo got free with Genílson Vinhas in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Figueiredo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gatinhos Comunistas's zone, Luizão Lourenco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Vinhas came out of the goal and Luizão Lourenco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luizão Lourenco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Genílson Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Gilberto Cloyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Walt Disney getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luizão Lourenco hit a great ball. Genílson Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Gabrielli in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gatinhos Comunistas defense, Lucas Gabrielli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genílson Vinhas. The Gatinhos Comunistas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genílson Vinhas should have stopped the shot. If Luizão Lourenco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Figueiredo in the 66th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Lucas Gabrielli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walt Disney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Gabrielli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luizão Lourenco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Luizão Lourenco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Vinhas was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 85 minutes of play, Walt Disney's Luizão Lourenco made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genílson Vinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Genílson Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Lourenco in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Walt Disney were awarded a corner. Leopoldo Figueiredo went to the cornerflag to take it. Walt Disney's Leopoldo Figueiredo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Genílson Vinhas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lucas Gabrielli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Vinhas having to interfere. Lucas Gabrielli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Genílson Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
