After 8 minutes, Luiz Galvão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS F.C and the Walt Disney players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Galvão hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save SANTOS F.C from getting a goal against them. Baron Van de Goor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Guerra in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Walt Disney booed when SANTOS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Lucas Gabrielli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Swiderski. SANTOS F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Gabrielli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. During the 23rd minute of the match Luiz Galvão completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luiz Galvão a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, SANTOS F.C's Luiz Galvão got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Luizão Lourenco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Swiderski. Luizão Lourenco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Lucas Gabrielli's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Antonio Swiderski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 29 minutes into the game, Artur Hoffmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Swiderski. Artur Hoffmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Igor Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Baron Van de Goor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SANTOS F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Luizão Lourenco scored to the left of an out of position Antonio Swiderski, making the score, 4-0. Luizão Lourenco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilmar Guerra to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Luizão Lourenco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonio Swiderski was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Antonio Swiderski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute of the game, Artur Hoffmann landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Richard Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Walt Disney made a substitution. Wilian Magalhães replaced Artur Hoffmann. Richard Magalhães hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Gabrielli in the 60th minute of play. Jerald Iverson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS F.C's zone, Luizão Lourenco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Swiderski came out of the goal and Luizão Lourenco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Swiderski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Swiderski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Lourenco, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Guerra in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baron Van de Goor saved Walt Disney from getting behind. Leopoldo Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Antonio Swiderski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gilmar Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96thth minute of the game Luizão Lourenco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SANTOS F.C's Antonio Swiderski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
