Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC Metropol's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jarbas Azevedo in the 17th minute. The corner ended in Jarbas Azevedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rolo Compressor FC's Gerson Vianna did a great save. Silver Phoenix hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jacinto Endura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hamílton Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of AC Metropol booed when Rolo Compressor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. AC Metropol's Hamílton Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Vicente Leme was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. After 43 played minutes Rolo Compressor FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Leme. Rolo Compressor FC's Gerson Vianna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Rolo Compressor FC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Endura was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Rolo Compressor FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Tales Marinho hit a great ball. Gerson Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Miranda in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jacinto Endura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rolo Compressor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Endura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otávio Toledo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gerson Vianna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Metropol. The corner ended in Jarbas Azevedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rolo Compressor FC's Gerson Vianna did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Toledo in the 87th minute of play forced Rolo Compressor FC's goalkeeper Gerson Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Rolo Compressor FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
