The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Pryputnicki in the 3rd minute of play forced AC Metropol's goalkeeper Patrick Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, luiz.sp's Simão Vianna got a free kick in the 4th minute. luiz.sp's Dimitri Hérouard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save luiz.sp from getting a goal against them. When Hamílton Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Metropol's protests and gave Hamílton Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Gwidon Pryputnicki put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Patrick Recife. After 14 minutes, Fausto Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the luiz.sp and the AC Metropol players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Fausto Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Veloso hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwidon Pryputnicki in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Recife saved AC Metropol from getting behind. Fausto Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. luiz.sp's Flavinho Donatello got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gwidon Pryputnicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Recife read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Patrick Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwidon Pryputnicki in the 48th minute of the match. The AC Metropol players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. luiz.sp were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamílton Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. luiz.sp's Dimitri Hérouard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Miranda in the 52nd minute of play. Edmílson de Barros made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Otávio Toledo immediately put the ball in play. After 63 minutes of play, AC Metropol's Otávio Toledo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitri Hérouard was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Flavinho Donatello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patrick Recife. That made the score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. After a rather tough play, AC Metropol's Jarbas Azevedo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Charles Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dimitri Hérouard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Zonta in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of luiz.sp booed when AC Metropol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Recife was a little too slow when Gwidon Pryputnicki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-4. Patrick Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwidon Pryputnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Edmílson de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Metropol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave luiz.sp the free kick. After a rather tough play, AC Metropol's Edmílson de Barros got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Fausto Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The luiz.sp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. luiz.sp's Gwidon Pryputnicki got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
