Reinaldo Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Reinaldo Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Itália's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarani MZC the free kick. A collision led to Itália getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Helge Ödman hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, one of Itália:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Rodriguinho Motta, was totally fooled by Guarani MZC's Léo Penha, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 71 minutes into the match, Guarani MZC's Reinaldo Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodriguinho Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dagoberto Velasco in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Dracena saved Guarani MZC from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Reinaldo Cunha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 81 minutes, Geovanni Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarani MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 played minutes Guarani MZC got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Martins. Delfim Martins hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Geovanni Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Itália booed when Guarani MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Itália got a freekick which was hit by İlyas Okcan. Léo Penha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodriguinho Motta. Itália's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match was over Guarani MZC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itália throughout the match.
