An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Porto in the 6th minute of play forced Monster Billy EC's goalkeeper Begley McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of AE Uruguaianense booed when Monster Billy EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute of the match Abelardo França shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Begley McWillie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 12 played minutes AE Uruguaianense got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Arruda. After a rather tough play, Monster Billy EC's Gilberto do Valle got a free kick in the 17th minute. Romário Porto scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Begley McWillie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 23 minutes, Cido da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monster Billy EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AE Uruguaianense's zone, Giuseppe Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Queiroz came out of the goal and Giuseppe Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Begley McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Porto in the 28th minute of the match. Gilmar Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Begley McWillie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Catarinense in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind AE Uruguaianense's goalkeeper Jardel Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Arantes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Monster Billy EC's Begley McWillie. Begley McWillie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 minutes, Gilberto do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monster Billy EC and the AE Uruguaianense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilberto do Valle hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Monster Billy EC's Aquilino Gaxan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romário Porto to make the kick off. In the 75th minute, Cido da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monster Billy EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Monster Billy EC made a substitution. Kaká Barreto replaced Giuseppe Falcão. Cido da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jardel Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Monster Billy EC's Begley McWillie got control of the ball when Romário Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Begley McWillie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romário Porto's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Begley McWillie made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Romário Porto sent off a good shot on target. Monster Billy EC's Begley McWillie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Monster Billy EC from getting a goal against them. Gilberto do Valle got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st minute, Toninho Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Begley McWillie made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Romário Porto sent off a good shot on target. Donato Urko hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute of the match Abelardo França sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Begley McWillie skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AE Uruguaianense had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
