The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guarani MZC's Bruno Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the luiz.sp defense, Bruno Coutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimitri Hérouard. The luiz.sp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitri Hérouard should have stopped the shot. After 9 minutes of play, Guarani MZC's Geovanni Gomes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitri Hérouard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gwidon Pryputnicki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Carlos Dracena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arthur Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Geovanni Gomes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dimitri Hérouard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Reinaldo Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dimitri Hérouard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Cunha in the 22nd minute of the match. With his leg Carlos Dracena managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when luiz.sp's Gwidon Pryputnicki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, luiz.sp's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Gomes came free, but Dimitri Hérouard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitri Hérouard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Gomes in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the game, Agnaldo Abraão landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Léo Penha during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of luiz.sp booed when Guarani MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reinaldo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitri Hérouard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Coutinho in the 34th minute of play. Reinaldo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitri Hérouard having to interfere. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Geovanni Gomes sped through luiz.sp's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimitri Hérouard. luiz.sp's Dimitri Hérouard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Gomes in the 44th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Geovanni Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitri Hérouard was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dagoberto Couto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guarani MZC's Bruno Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Bruno Coutinho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dimitri Hérouard. The Guarani MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Dimitri Hérouard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Coutinho in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, luiz.sp's Dimitri Hérouard got control of the ball when Geovanni Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 73 in the game by Geovanni Gomes from a close distance when the talented Dimitri Hérouard managed to make a qualified save. luiz.sp's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Geovanni Gomes took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Dimitri Hérouard to make any attempt to save it. A sloppy throw-in by Paulão Varela in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by luiz.sp's Fausto Veloso. The luiz.sp fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guarani MZC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
