After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Tony Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo José Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arapapa's Paulo José Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Botelho in the 5th minute of play. If Tony Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, Cauã Peres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arapapa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leão STAND BY FSCMZ the free kick. Cauã Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Silvério Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Paulo José Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Téo Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Tony Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo José Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's attentive Dieguinho Moraes managed to snatch the ball when Cauã Peres made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Silvério Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 played minutes Arapapa got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo Teixeira. In the 32ndth minute of the game Tony Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arapapa's Paulo José Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 39 played minutes Arapapa got a freekick which was hit by Kjell-Arne Eckegren. In the 41st minute Jeferson Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo José Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Arapapa's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Botelho came free, but Paulo José Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Leão STAND BY FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Botelho was the one to do the kick off. Sílvio Luís de Queiroz hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Tiago Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Tiago Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Teixeira in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Leão STAND BY FSCMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tião Silveira hit a great ball. Tiago Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Jairo Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tony Botelho in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo José Queiroz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tony Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Paulo José Queiroz made a huge save. Tony Botelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo José Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Tony Botelho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 71st minute. After 89 minutes, Sílvio Luís de Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leão STAND BY FSCMZ and the Arapapa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Sílvio Luís de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Arapapa booed when Leão STAND BY FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noel Miranda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Leão STAND BY FSCMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
