Cipriano Cordeiro hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match André Capixaba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton do Valle skillfully saved the ball. Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão de Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play. When Hílton Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Esporte Clube Italva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Travassos couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulão de Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Harry Potes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esporte Clube Italva were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Família f.c.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Narciso Pereira took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Narciso Pereira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Harry Potes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Esporte Clube Italva from getting a goal against them. João Paulo Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Narciso Pereira, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Família f.c. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wesley Castro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Clube Italva's zone, Paulão de Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton do Valle came out of the goal and Paulão de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Família f.c.'s André Capixaba got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulão de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Hílton do Valle made a huge save. Harry Potes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Cordeiro went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Paulão de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Família f.c.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
