The corner led Vao Eesporte Clube's Nando de Almeida to fire away a dangerous shot which Ramón Vidal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Meinolf Meyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 9 played minutes Club Del Gallo got a freekick which was hit by Délio Freitas. After 11 minutes, Claudinei Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Del Gallo and the Vao Eesporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramón Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Cordarin in the 12th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nando de Almeida sped through Club Del Gallo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramón Vidal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando de Almeida in the 38th minute of play forced Club Del Gallo's goalkeeper Ramón Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vao Eesporte Clube booed when Club Del Gallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Vao Eesporte Clube's Nando de Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramón Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Club Del Gallo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vao Eesporte Clube were winning 0-3.

In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vao Eesporte Clube's goalkeeper Délio Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Vao Eesporte Clube's Nando de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramón Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Ignacio Olando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. Ramón Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vao Eesporte Clube. In the 89th minute, Nando de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vao Eesporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. In the 91st match minute, Club Del Gallo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar Couto to maneuver through the defense. The Club Del Gallo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vao Eesporte Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
