An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Al Dosery in the 30th minute of play forced Avelinos's goalkeeper Armando Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Eufemio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Armando Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Habib Al Dosery in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo Montenegro in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Duarte saved Avelinos from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matias Zanette to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Zanette in the 54th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Dário Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmópolis Futebol Clube's Eric Luican was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cosmópolis Futebol Clube's Eric Luican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Mesquita in the 61st minute of play. Habib Al Dosery kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Claudinho Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosmópolis Futebol Clube's Matias Zanette slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Duarte. That made the score 0-4 after 76 minutes of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Dário Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avelinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Avelinos's goalkeeper Armando Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdemar Dracena. Dário Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 89 minutes of play, Avelinos's Dário Mesquita made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Luican was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nando Alcântara hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Cosmópolis Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
