Tiago Gabriel Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho Vaz having to interfere. Armando Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Coelho in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Elg in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Duarte saved Avelinos from getting behind. Armando Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo de Lima in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Bruninho Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Eufemio. Leonel Eufemio in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruninho Vaz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Avelinos's Armando Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Troiano in the 36th minute of play. If Anderson Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armando Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Avelinos getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Carlisle Mcmillan hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Dário Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avelinos's Armando Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Pombal in the 43rd minute of play. After 47 played minutes Avelinos got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Gallo.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dário Mesquita made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, one of Avelinos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Serafim Queiroz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Dário Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Alf Elg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Avelinos's Armando Duarte. Armando Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armando Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Elg, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A collision led to SC Bertioga getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Rômulo Mazza hit a great ball. With a little luck, Avelinos's Armando Duarte got control of the ball when Anderson Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nertil Maldini hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Anderson Pombal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armando Duarte. The goal made the score 0-2. Armando Duarte came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Bertioga's Anderson Pombal. But to his dismay, Anderson Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Avelinos defense, Alf Elg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Duarte. The Avelinos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Duarte should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Tiago Gabriel Castro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Bertioga's Bruninho Vaz didn't even have to move. Armando Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Troiano in the 98th minute of the match. The Avelinos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Bertioga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
