The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cascavel's Anselmo Paraibano in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Adam Encuțescu put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rodrigo Amorim. 19 minutes into the game, Anderson Cosme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Rodrigo Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th match minute, Clube União Popular was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Paraibano in the 29th minute of the match. Anselmo Paraibano scored 4-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute Clube União Popular were awarded a corner. Yngve Kristiansson went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Yngve Kristiansson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mazinho Gaúcho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 42 minutes into the match, Anselmo Paraibano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodrigo Amorim, 5-0. The supporters of Clube União Popular booed when Cascavel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Clube União Popular got a freekick which was hit by Hassan Mignon. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerônimo Fantini to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Anselmo Paraibano made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Amorim. Clube União Popular's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 62nd minute Placido Egli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Encuțescu in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Clube União Popular's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Encuțescu came free, but Rodrigo Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, André de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Amorim came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Cascavel's Anselmo Paraibano. But to his dismay, Anselmo Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. When Cascavel's Placido Egli in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hassan Mignon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mazinho Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Encuțescu went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Cascavel booed when Clube União Popular was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yngve Kristiansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cascavel's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
