Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Toninho Guerreiro got the match started through his kick off. Joaquim Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hassan Mignon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Sporting Navuo's zone, Hassan Mignon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Pombal came out of the goal and Hassan Mignon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dino Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Sporting Navuo's protests and gave Dino Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. Geovanni Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Pombal having to interfere. Rodrigo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Reis in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Toninho Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Clube Sporting Navuo's Rodrigo Amorim threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexander McCuag, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Joaquim Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hassan Mignon in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Gabriel Batistuta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Clube União Popular's Ruy Brito quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Reis got free with Rodrigo Amorim in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clube Sporting Navuo's Joaquim Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassan Mignon in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clube União Popular's Jerônimo Fantini got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 31 minutes of play, Clube Sporting Navuo's Flávio Reis made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 37 minutes, Christiano Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube União Popular and the Clube Sporting Navuo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christiano Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, Clube União Popular's Rodrigo Amorim got control of the ball when Alexander McCuag tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hassan Mignon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Joaquim Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Clube Sporting Navuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Andreas Fuchs could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Rodrigo Amorim however easily saved by the left post. Rodrigo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Reis in the 45th minute of play. Clube União Popular's Rodrigo Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander McCuag in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerônimo Fantini was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hassan Mignon in the 51st minute of play forced Clube Sporting Navuo's goalkeeper Joaquim Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josué Ferreira during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Clube Sporting Navuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Hassan Mignon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim Pombal having to make a save. Flávio Reis took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Amorim. Rodrigo Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Clube Sporting Navuo made a substitution. Clóvis Tande replaced Artan Topalovski. Clube Sporting Navuo's Ezequiel Capixaba was substituted for Josué Ferreira. In the 78th minute Alexander McCuag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andreas Fuchs went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Clube Sporting Navuo's Celso Vander was substituted for Gabriel Batistuta. Frederico de Moraes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Clube Sporting Navuo's Joaquim Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassan Mignon in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Clube Sporting Navuo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
