Thiago Simões made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Madrid's Flávio Domingues. Deivid Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Travassos having to interfere. Bruno Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jimeno Herrera's late challenge caught a Club Athletico Geek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardinho Travassos came out of the goal and Deivid Fantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deivid Fantini's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernardinho Travassos firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Athletico Geek walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
