João Paulo Ribeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Gaston Sessa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Dorival Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universidade Celestial FC's Gaston Sessa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eugênio Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guga Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Gaston Sessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute João Paulo Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Sessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Botinho FC's Flávio Galvão got control of the ball when Baltazar Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Baltazar Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Sessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Botinho FC's Dorival Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
