The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Universidade Celestial FC defense, Leonidas Orange kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaston Sessa. The Universidade Celestial FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaston Sessa should have stopped the shot. Wellington Matos struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Lucas Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universidade Celestial FC. If César Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute S.C.PAULISTA were awarded a corner. Jorge Neto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led S.C.PAULISTA's Jorge Neto to fire away a dangerous shot which Gaston Sessa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. César Eger took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaston Sessa. Gaston Sessa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lucas Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Donnarumma, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Universidade Celestial FC's goal looked a bit too open when César Eger came free, but Gaston Sessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Leonidas Orange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Sessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonidas Orange scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaston Sessa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute César Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Sessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Universidade Celestial FC booed when S.C.PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Pilipiec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugênio Negri struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Lucas Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonidas Orange to make the kick off. Didi Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Leonidas Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C.PAULISTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonidas Orange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaston Sessa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonidas Orange struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. César Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Sessa having to interfere. After 70 minutes Universidade Celestial FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorge Neto who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on S.C.PAULISTA's corner Beto de Almeida fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gaston Sessa quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to S.C.PAULISTA getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. César Eger hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's César Eger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Sessa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Leonidas Orange made a precise shot to the right of Gaston Sessa. Universidade Celestial FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Natã Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S.C.PAULISTA's César Eger managed to work through Universidade Celestial FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. César Eger dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Wellington Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. S.C.PAULISTA played a much better game than Universidade Celestial FC and deserved their victory. The Universidade Celestial FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
