Bernardinho Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Mazza in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid's Deivid Tasso got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Gildo Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes of play, Parnagua AD's Gilson Falcão made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardinho Travassos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Real Madrid's Bernardinho Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Custódio in the 37th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Rubens Oliveira made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Real Madrid's Bernardinho Travassos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardinho Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Custódio in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvinho Custódio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Deivid Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Deivid Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
