The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo Peres got free with Edgard de Almeida in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, One Piece FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Schmidt came free, but Alvin Arthur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montesclarense E.C.'s Paulão Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the One Piece FC defense, André Luís Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvin Arthur. The One Piece FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvin Arthur should have stopped the shot. Edgard de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Skwira in the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Paulão Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Arthur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Infante kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The One Piece FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montesclarense E.C. were winning 0-1.

Montesclarense E.C. were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after One Piece FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernani Tavares took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Paulão Medeiros advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 54th minute. In the 57th match minute, One Piece FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Franco to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, One Piece FC's goalkeeper Alvin Arthur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulão Medeiros. After 63 minutes One Piece FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ernani Tavares who took care of the corner kick. 71 minutes into the match, André Luís Schmidt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvin Arthur. One Piece FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luís Schmidt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Paulão Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 83rd minute, Paulão Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvin Arthur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Schmidt in the 88th minute of the match. The One Piece FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Montesclarense E.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
