C.A Gryffindor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Alberto Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Chicão de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Pombal in the 15th minute. In the 15th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime França to maneuver through the defense. Reko Nybacka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Jacinto Quirino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Reko Nybacka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Quirino in the 30th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Jacinto Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Edson Couto in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.A Gryffindor's Sarracino Marsano. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Quirino in the 38th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. A sloppy throw-in by Edson Couto in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.A Gryffindor's Marquinhos Filho. Reko Nybacka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Quirino in the 54th minute of the match. Chicão de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. C.A Gryffindor's Chicão de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Pombal in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Quirino came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka got control of the ball when Edgard Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, C.A Gryffindor's Jacinto Quirino made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reko Nybacka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.A Gryffindor made a substitution. Paredes Pedrera replaced Marquinhos Filho. Ramiro Passos's late challenge caught a Catugi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Passos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, C.A Gryffindor's Ramiro Passos got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Jaime França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka got control of the ball when Karl-Erik Magnusson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guilherme Mazer got free with Reko Nybacka in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chicão de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime França, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Guilherme Mazer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reko Nybacka. That made the score 1-6 in the 95 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.A Gryffindor eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
