In the 12th minute Dé Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Maignan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Maignan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcísio Vides in the 20th minute of play. Alessio Ingegno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Carneiro in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tarcísio Vides in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Maignan saved EC São José from getting behind. A collision led to Potomati Team getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dorian Ortiz hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match, Glauco Carneiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alessio Ingegno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Potomati Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Fernando Goiano was slow to take the kick. During this time EC São José's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on EC São José's corner Luiz Fernando Goiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alessio Ingegno quite easily take care of the ball. Alexandre Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessio Ingegno having to interfere. Alexandre Souto in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alessio Ingegno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Luiz Fernando Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glauco Carneiro to make the kick off. Mike Maignan made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Dé Eger sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Mike Maignan managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Potomati Team's Dé Eger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Tarcísio Vides came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Potomati Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcísio Vides couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Potomati Team's Tarcísio Vides sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Maignan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, EC São José was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Sena to maneuver through the defense. EC São José's Mike Maignan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save EC São José from getting a goal against them. Glauco Carneiro spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Potomati Team's goal. 76 minutes into the match, Potomati Team's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Carneiro came free, but Alessio Ingegno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessio Ingegno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Carneiro in the 82nd minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, EC São José's Glauco Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessio Ingegno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mike Maignan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
