After 19 played minutes EC São José got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Goiano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Matorin in the 21st minute of play forced EC São José's goalkeeper Mike Maignan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Glauco Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotil Maroto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Maignan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves 邱永志 could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Mike Maignan however easily saved by the left post. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Luiz Fernando Goiano sped through SESI UNITED's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sotil Maroto. In the 68th match minute, EC São José was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Jano Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Maignan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 邱永志 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Maignan having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Cristiano Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SESI UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Matorin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jeronimo Sagrario fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EC São José's protests and gave Jeronimo Sagrario a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, EC São José's Mike Maignan got control of the ball when 邱永志 tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SESI UNITED's Waclaw Szostak got a free kick in the 95th minute.
