Brunogenio's Abelardo Dionísio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Brunogenio from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Caxinha F. C. booed when Brunogenio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Thiago de Sena fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brunogenio's protests and gave Thiago de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Brunogenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago de Sena to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Tepedino in the 22nd minute of play. Abelardo Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Wielgopolski in the 89th minute of play. Brunogenio's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
