Celsinho Camargo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Genílson Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Silvério Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catete United FC. In the 21st minute Geovânio Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celsinho Camargo scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antônio Peres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antônio Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dieguinho Rezende made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Catete United FC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Camargo.
