Cauã Lopes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dieguinho Rezende showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. Antônio Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Apelqvist in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Apelqvist in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Peres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Sabóia in the 20th minute of play forced Real Mente Burro's goalkeeper Cauã Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Lopes made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Basílio Guedes sent off a good shot on target. After 43 played minutes, Catete United FC's Alberto Albuquerque shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cauã Lopes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catete United FC reached it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dieguinho Rezende to strike the kick off in the second half. If George Apelqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 52 minutes into the game, Pedroso Geromel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Mente Burro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catete United FC the free kick. Pedroso Geromel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Basílio Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Catete United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Guedes couldn't finish the play. Antônio Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Apelqvist in the 57th minute of play. George Apelqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Antônio Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Sabóia in the 65th minute of play forced Real Mente Burro's goalkeeper Cauã Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Emílio Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cauã Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Roberto Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Alberto Albuquerque in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Real Mente Burro's Samuel Marques. After 80 minutes Catete United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto Simão who took care of the corner kick. Oswald Winnepennincx kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If George Apelqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, George Apelqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Mente Burro's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Apelqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Real Mente Burro getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Guga Tavares hit a great ball. Zeca Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cauã Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96thth minute of the game Dieguinho Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Mente Burro's Cauã Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
