Gilmar Romero came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hu Zhen Hong could save by the left post. Eugenio Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maicon Cavalcante hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Hu Zhen Hong made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Gilmar Romero sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Pereira came free, but Eugenio Asier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A A Arizona's Hu Zhen Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save A A Arizona from getting a goal against them. With his leg Hu Zhen Hong managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Grêmio 20 Julho's Gilmar Romero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Humberto Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Lyuboslav Penev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Asier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Pereira in the 39th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Eugenio Asier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Grêmio 20 Julho's Téo Pires made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hu Zhen Hong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maicon Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Eugenio Asier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grêmio 20 Julho made a substitution. Jânio Pires replaced Qiu Zhen Guang. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lyuboslav Penev in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Asier saved Grêmio 20 Julho from getting behind. Hu Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Romero in the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Valdemar de Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hu Zhen Hong. A A Arizona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdemar de Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Wellington Nóbrega sped through A A Arizona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hu Zhen Hong. Vitinho do Valle's late challenge caught a Grêmio 20 Julho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitinho do Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Jânio Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Pereira in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lyuboslav Penev got free with Eugenio Asier in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grêmio 20 Julho's Eugenio Asier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio 20 Julho from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar de Amaral. The Grêmio 20 Julho fans cheered their team off the field, for while A A Arizona had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
