In the 16th minute, one of Gesteira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gesteira. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Santa Teresa. Teodoro Martxot stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Franklin Bittencourt. 1-1. Gesteira's Franklin Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Pontes in the 21st minute of play. Gesteira's Raphael Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Matheus Gay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Betadur made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Raphael Veiga sent off a good shot on target. Franklin Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Gay in the 35th minute of the match. Matheus Gay scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franklin Bittencourt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gesteira's Franklin Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Pontes in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gesteira defense, Matheus Gay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franklin Bittencourt. The Gesteira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franklin Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. When Geovanni Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gesteira's protests and gave Geovanni Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Santa Teresa. Teodoro Martxot stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Franklin Bittencourt. 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Veiga to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Augusto Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Teresa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Gesteira's Franklin Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Gesteira from getting a goal against them. Augusto Pontes made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 62ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Franklin Bittencourt would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Aan 典韦's late challenge caught a Santa Teresa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aan 典韦 helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Aan 典韦 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teodoro Martxot came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Santa Teresa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Martxot couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Gesteira's goalkeeper Franklin Bittencourt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Pontes. In the 69th minute, Santa Teresa's Augusto Pontes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franklin Bittencourt. Franklin Bittencourt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Augusto Pontes succeeded in the game's 74th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-7. Augusto Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Bittencourt having to interfere. Franklin Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batiste Aznar in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Gesteira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Martxot was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Geovanni Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Augusto Pontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Batiste Aznar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, D.J. Love recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franklin Bittencourt. D.J. Love showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Vicente Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When Santa Teresa's Augusto Pontes in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gesteira's goalie prevented a goal. Gesteira's Franklin Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Gesteira from getting a goal against them. The Gesteira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santa Teresa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
