Ezequiel Souza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Paulino Sacristán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tim Duncan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Duncan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Sacristán in the 16th minute of the match. Paulino Sacristán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tim Duncan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Sacristán went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute Cacá Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Joãozinho Sexto got a free kick in the 31st minute. Tim Duncan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Vítor da Silva's late challenge caught a Anjos Mágicos MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor da Silva helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Flamengo FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor da Silva. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Souza was the one to do the kick off. Flamengo FC's Faustão Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Souza in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Flamengo FC's Vítor da Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Duncan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tim Duncan came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo FC's Vicente Silva. But to his dismay, Vicente Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Maicon Nascimento took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faustão Romero. Faustão Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Sacristán got free with Tim Duncan in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Souza in the 69th minute of play forced Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Faustão Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Sacristán scored 2-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Duncan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tim Duncan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Sacristán in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Paulino Sacristán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Sacristán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tim Duncan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicente Silva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 78 minute of play. The attack was good, but when Francisco Macedo in the 82nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Tim Duncan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 86th minute, Flamengo FC's Paulino Sacristán ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. After having played for 88 minutes, Francisco Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
