With his leg Fabinho Carneiro managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Cujuim's Augusto Endura fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cujuim's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Umberto Linhares in the 12th minute. Cujuim's Umberto Linhares was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabinho Carneiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cujuim were furious when Edinho Gerber was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Cujuim getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Edinho Gerber hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Godoi in the 15th minute of play forced Cujuim's goalkeeper Efrain Veremundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tigre Brasilis F.C. booed when Cujuim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Juninho Senna fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cujuim's protests and gave Juninho Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Juninho Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Cujuim's goal looked a bit too open when William Godoi came free, but Efrain Veremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Rogelio Javiero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rogelio Javiero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s zone, Augusto Endura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Carneiro came out of the goal and Augusto Endura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Endura was the one to do the kick off. Rogelio Javiero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the game, Oscar Åhlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cujuim the free kick. Oscar Åhlberg hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Romário Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cujuim's goalkeeper Efrain Veremundo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 93 minutes, Umberto Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cujuim and the Tigre Brasilis F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cujuim were victorious despite being under pressure from Tigre Brasilis F.C. for much of the match.
