In the 85th minute, Eliseu Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Dionísio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alisson Taffarel. In the 90th minute Eliseu Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 99th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Ramiro Lima hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
