Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes in the game, Toninho Madureira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alfredo Fernandez having to interfere. In the 17th play minute Toninho Madureira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alfredo Fernandez. 1-0. A collision led to Guayra FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Baltazar Fonseca hit a great ball. When Wilton Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guayra FC's protests and gave Wilton Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. 20 minutes into the game, one of Guayra FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jano Saraiva during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to BOTAFOGO getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jano Saraiva hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Édouard Deloge in the 29th minute of play forced Guayra FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Fernandez was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Édouard Deloge capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Édouard Deloge really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 35th minute Adrián Czornomaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adrián Czornomaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Jânio Tepedino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guayra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOTAFOGO the free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Adrián Czornomaz made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Guayra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Goiano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in BOTAFOGO's zone, Geovani Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Geovani Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adalberto Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrián Czornomaz in the 55th minute of play. Jânio Tepedino hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Madureira in the 58th minute of play forced Guayra FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Édouard Deloge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Fernandez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when BOTAFOGO's Toninho Madureira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of BOTAFOGO booed when Guayra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kauan Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Alfredo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77thth minute of the game Toninho Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guayra FC's Alfredo Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauan Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Édouard Deloge put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alfredo Fernandez. Kauan Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Fernandez having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Édouard Deloge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Fernandez. Guayra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Édouard Deloge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Adrián Czornomaz charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrián Czornomaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrián Czornomaz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Guayra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Madureira came free, but Alfredo Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Édouard Deloge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Alfredo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BOTAFOGO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
