Akashicos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockets the free kick. After 5 played minutes Akashicos got a freekick which was hit by Frank Queirós. 5 minutes into the game, Joélson Melo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Josué Gonçalves. Joélson Melo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 8th minute, Fabinho Mattos fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Josué Gonçalves. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Edu Mangueira got a free kick in the 9th minute. A collision led to Akashicos getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ediberto Peres hit a great ball. After 14 minutes, Joélson Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rockets and the Akashicos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joélson Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Josué Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Madureira in the 18th minute of play. When Luiz Eduardo Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rockets's protests and gave Luiz Eduardo Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Akashicos booed when Rockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Cristiano Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 minutes, William Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akashicos and the Rockets players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute Dudu Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dudu Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Melo.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ediberto Peres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Dudu Madureira fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 51st match minute, Rockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Madureira to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josué Gonçalves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joélson Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Geraldo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Gonçalves having to interfere. The Rockets support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
