Spectators: 7724 (Terracing: 5797, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Agostinho Félix kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Brasil Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute S.C. Internacional RS were awarded a corner. Eutropio Negrete went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eutropio Negrete almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trivela FC's Vágner Galvão did a great save. Vágner Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo de Castro in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Trivela FC's Frank Guedes got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Agnaldo de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trivela FC's Vágner Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vágner Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.C. Internacional RS's Sidnei Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save S.C. Internacional RS from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Dario Palombi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vágner Galvão was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Agnaldo de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Galvão having to interfere. Cleiton Severo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Jaime Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Vágner Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo de Castro in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Trivela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Severo came free, but Vágner Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidnei Peixoto came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Trivela FC's Alfredão Prata. But to his dismay, Alfredão Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 45th minute, one of S.C. Internacional RS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.C. Internacional RS. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Trivela FC. Frank Guedes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sidnei Peixoto. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agnaldo de Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Agnaldo de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Internacional RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vágner Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. S.C. Internacional RS's Sidnei Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Prata in the 53rd minute of play. Frank Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Peixoto having to interfere. S.C. Internacional RS's Zézinho Sanches was substituted for Bernard Edwards. After 63 played minutes S.C. Internacional RS got a freekick which was hit by Dario Palombi. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Agnaldo de Castro sped through Trivela FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vágner Galvão. When Hortêncio Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trivela FC's protests and gave Hortêncio Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Trivela FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zeca Vergílio hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Brasil Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vágner Galvão. The goal made the score 2-2. When Trivela FC's Agostinho Félix in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.C. Internacional RS's goalie prevented a goal. 80 minutes into the match, Trivela FC's goalkeeper Vágner Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Palombi. Agostinho Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Sidnei Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes, Evaristo Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trivela FC and the S.C. Internacional RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of S.C. Internacional RS booed when Trivela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, S.C. Internacional RS's Eutropio Negrete tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Trivela FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Roger Furtado hit a great ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
