In the 17th minute, S.C. Internacional RS's Remo Motta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Remo Motta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of S.C. Internacional RS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Remo Motta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 18 played minutes S.C. Internacional RS got a freekick which was hit by Remo Motta. In the 20th minute of the match Green Squad FC got a corner. S.C. Internacional RS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Conrado Pernambucano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Martino Pozuelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo Maia's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute Green Squad FC were awarded a corner. Conrado Pernambucano went to the cornerflag to take it. If Ulisses Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes, Jessie Pinkman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Green Squad FC and the S.C. Internacional RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilvan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Palombi in the 51st minute of play. After 56 played minutes S.C. Internacional RS got a freekick which was hit by Süruri Ülgen. After 57 played minutes, Green Squad FC's Conrado Pernambucano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martino Pozuelos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Green Squad FC reached it. Martino Pozuelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jessie Pinkman in the 63rd minute. Martino Pozuelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Internacional RS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
