The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Carona booed when Jardim Natal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çakabey Eroğul in the 4th minute of play forced Jardim Natal's goalkeeper Wilton Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton Nascimento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Çakabey Eroğul went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the match, Carona's Marco Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilton Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilton Nascimento didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Carona's Caio Tróia shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-6 in the ordered_time% minute.

If Marco Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Jardim Natal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Velloso to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Jardim Natal got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Fonseca. Celso de Toledo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Çakabey Eroğul in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilton Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carona played a much better game than Jardim Natal and deserved their victory. The Jardim Natal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
