Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5711, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 132) Çakabey Eroğul started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Fabinho Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlanta United F.C.'s protests and gave Fabinho Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Atlanta United F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carona:s goal. Mané França had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Celso de Toledo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 6th minute, Caio Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mané França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çakabey Eroğul in the 7th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Kiko do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlanta United F.C. and the Carona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mané França was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Çakabey Eroğul capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Çakabey Eroğul really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Çakabey Eroğul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlanta United F.C.'s goalkeeper Mané França, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Atlanta United F.C. defense, Marco Tróia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mané França. The Atlanta United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mané França should have stopped the shot. Çakabey Eroğul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané França having to interfere. Caio Tróia took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mané França. Mané França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 26 minutes into the game, Carona's Marco Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Çakabey Eroğul succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 29th playminute. If Clóvis Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mané França was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Çakabey Eroğul showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 37 minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match, Çakabey Eroğul got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mané França was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Atlanta United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Caio Tróia came free, but Mané França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Çakabey Eroğul in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Clóvis Ferraz made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Atlanta United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marco Tróia came free, but Mané França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiko do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Marco Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Tróia in the 61st minute of play forced Atlanta United F.C.'s goalkeeper Mané França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Carona were awarded a corner. Celso de Toledo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Celso de Toledo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlanta United F.C.'s Mané França did a great save. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlanta United F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celso de Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time Carona's players had a chance to rest. Çakabey Eroğul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mané França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mané França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caio Tróia in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mané França saved Atlanta United F.C. from getting behind. A collision led to Atlanta United F.C. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Clóvis Ferraz hit a great ball. Mané França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlanta United F.C.'s Mané França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çakabey Eroğul in the 78th minute of play. Mané França came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Carona's Caio Tróia. But to his dismay, Caio Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Caio Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané França having to interfere. Mané França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çakabey Eroğul in the 89th minute of play. Fabinho Salgado hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Çakabey Eroğul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Atlanta United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Çakabey Eroğul came free, but Mané França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
