The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio Mandrak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Fellipe Dante sped through Clube de Regatas Flamengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cássio Mandrak. Al Mcgregor made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when João Francisco Falcão sent off a good shot on target. Rosario Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cássio Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Clube de Regatas Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Barros. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's Cássio Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Hildan in the 21st minute of play. Cássio Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Hagström in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Faria in the 26th minute of play forced Meninos da Vila F.C's goalkeeper Al Mcgregor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claudinei Seco fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube de Regatas Flamengo's protests and gave Claudinei Seco a yellow card for diving instead. Claudinei Seco hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Clube de Regatas Flamengo getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Amadeu Cerezo hit a great ball. Meninos da Vila F.C's Wictor Hagström got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Hildan came free, but Cássio Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fellipe Dante took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cássio Mandrak. Cássio Mandrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 46th minute Fellipe Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fellipe Dante succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 52nd playminute. Wictor Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cássio Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Dante got free with Cássio Mandrak in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cássio Mandrak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fellipe Dante in the 72nd minute. Cássio Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Hildan in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Dante got free with Cássio Mandrak in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Fellipe Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Fantini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Al Mcgregor. Meninos da Vila F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
